Hello! My name is Phyllis O'Neill and I'm so happy you've stopped by!

I am a mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend :) Just a down-to-earth gal who grew up and went to school in a small town in MO, population a little over 400 (including cats and dogs)!

I worked for lawyers and judges for about 27 years and left a couple of years ago due to stress-related issues. I started piddling in the world of direct sales. I have to confess, since starting, I have been with many direct sales/party plan businesses - more than I can count on two hands TWICE! (gulp) Everytime I would join something new, the eyes would roll (hubby, family, friends ...) and, of course, I was a little embarrassed because I couldn't seem to find anything that worked for me!

So, long story short, I decided to take a break from direct sales in October, 2008. Not that I wanted to ... but I was so tired of the same 'ol song and dance ... I spent more money than I made and I always ended up being my best customer! (Not a good thing!!)

Well, in December, 2008, someone sent me a link to their website and a one-liner email that said, "I would like for you to take a look at my new business and tell me what you think."  Of course, immediately I thought, "NO WAY! I'm not doing this again!"

But, temptation got the best of me so I did click on the link. Oh boy ... not again! Yep, the first thing I thought was, OH MY GOODNESS, I LOVE EVERYTHING and I WANT IT ALL!! Okay, okay, deep breaths, Phyllis! Get a grip! sigh

But, I thought to myself ... and convinced myself that it would be okay to join for "personal use" ... that way I didn't have to set myself up for failure (again) ... and so what if I just bought the bags for my own personal use? At least I wouldn't be paying full price - what could that hurt?

So, less than 24 hours later, I had joined. A few days later I received the kit. Oh my, talk about gorgeous!! I loved it all! ~Oh, but did I mention that no one knew I had joined? EEK! I didn't have the nerve to tell anyone (hubby, family, friends) ... so when we were out and about and I would carry different purses and totes, if someone commented on them (and I received a lot of comments!) basically I would say thank you and run!

Well, in March, 2009, I decided to have a "little home party" - that's how I referred to it because it didn't make me "commit" to anything. Of course, I had burned out all past customers, hostesses, friends, family, etc., but I mailed out invitations anyway. I think I mailed out 50 invitations -- 3 people came to the party -- 2 of my sisters and a good friend.

We ended up having the best time! I told them to "pretend" I was a Consultant (lol) and let me go through the whole party routine. They were good sports (laughing the whole time) and let me do that. Well, guess what? I ended up booking 2 parties and had over $200 in sales JUST FROM THOSE 3!! WOOHOOO I knew there was something to this business that night.

So in late March, 2009, I decided to start working this as a business and see where it took me. I can honestly say that that was one of the best decisions I have ever made! There really IS success in direct sales/party plan businesses so never say never!

My team has grown to over 500 women and I adore each and every one of them! I love sharing Thirty-One with everyone and I am blessed to share it with you.
